Anyway, I was looking for a free OCR program to automatically convert a scanned document into perfect text that can freely be edited.

It's perfect, it does exactly what I need it to do and it's simple to use.

No, this post isn't spam, but I just happened to want to register here and I just happened to find a great program that I think would be good to put on the show.

Free software for legal DVD copy?

Yes, I am not looking for anything tricky here. I can do the same google search anybody can do and turn up things like Burn4free, CloneDVD, DVD-Cloner, and others. Not having used any of these, I am simply turning to this great community of knowledge to see which of these have some recommendations, and more importantly, which of these should be avoided.

To be clear again, as masherscf states, this is unencrypted material, and perfectly legitimate to copy. I am not asking in some backhanded manner how to pirate movies.

HDTV Issues/Questions

The QAM tuner option should be able to receive unencrypted, non-interactive digital programming through the CATV line. If the TV is CableCard capable, that will allow it to decrypt the encrypted signals and may allow interactivity.

The S-video option from the laptop should work.

In all cases check the manuals for the proper setup of all channels.

Adhoc Networks????

I ain't that up there on the networking stuff so please help me if you can
I tried to connect to my friends HP laptop with my Acer laptop using the ad-hoc network
setup in vista32. When i connected to their laptop i didn't know how to transfer files, i later tried again with another laptop this time to play a Lan game but it wouldn't work.
Please could some one explain how to transfer files on this type of network.
HELP!!!!!!.

Installing 500GB HD in 2008 Macbook Pro?

"Absolutely. I needed a MB for iPhone devlopment, and doubt many people would even drop into the terminal, let alone pop out their battery and upgrade the RAM or HDD.

I want to add in a nice big HDD eventually (currently 160GB would like 500GB), but the drive height issue has been a problem. Thats not something most people would think about. Instead they would just think that the drive is a tight fit (because the current drive is a snug fit) and force it in.

I have also seen the results of people buying RAM without knowing what they were doing, and forcing the RAM in - regardless of the number of pins, or the alignment of the notch.

The warranty is there for a reason. Its to protect Apple's ass. It help the consumer out a little as well.
